When the stakes are highest, experience is everything.
Crisis communications guidance from experts who’ve actually been there.
Crises don’t wait for your team to be ready.
Who you’re working with
Founded by Jen Longaecker, whose career spans journalism, 911 dispatch, public safety communications, city government and state agency leadership, True North was built on the belief that experience matters when the stakes are high. When you work with True North, you work directly with me, not a junior associate or an account manager. I bring more than two decades of experience inside real incidents, helping organizations navigate emergencies, crises, intense public scrutiny and rapidly changing situations. When additional expertise is needed, I draw on a trusted network of professionals with experience in public safety, government and strategic communications.
Most firms tell you what to say. True North helps you act.
True North works with public safety agencies, government organizations, nonprofits and any leader who can’t afford to get it wrong. The best time to call is before you need us. The second best time is right now.

Training & workshops
The best time to prepare for a crisis is before you’re in one. Scenario-based training and exercises that build skills you can use right away.
